PRESS: Rosatom to spend 36 bln rbl on floating dock, icebreaker

MOSCOW, Dec 17 (PRIME) -- Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom plans to invest 36 billion rubles in construction of a floating dock and a fuel tanker for an icebreaker of the LK-60 type, Kommersant business daily reported Monday citing sources.

Construction of a floating dock is estimated to cost 8.5 billion rubles, while the remaining 27–28 billion rubles will be spent on construction of a facility for transshipment of nuclear fuel.

Rosatom has estimated a project for construction of two LK-60 icebreakers with a capacity of 60 megawatts (MW) each, a floating dock and a facility for servicing icebreakers at 136 billion rubles, the daily said.

Sources said that the government will provide 45 billion rubles of the sum, while Rosatom will attract 91 billion rubles on its own.
